to the north to freedom....
We think that cory and young bob are friends because when cory got hit he put his head down. Mama and dad aRe ruguing because dad wants to go to canada but mom does not want to. We think mama is going to sit in the bed pregnet and corey is going to find dad. We think that corey and dad is going to find mama and on the way to get mama there going to tell there story how they got to where they are right now.
Questions:
Why coould slave owners hit slaves? Why does cory get hit when he breaks somthing? Will the famliy go to canada? I wonder if the dad looks back to see if he needs to run faster if the guy are by him? when will corey reconnet with dad?
Thoughts: dad ran away with charles and men and dogs are after them and charles got cought and got a beating and could barly stand da got away. dad is a blacksmith so they want him back.dad and mr.renfeild was talking and corey and mama is going to run away with mr.renfeild. corey tought how to write his name. they followed the moon to see at night because if it was cloude they could night see. they were eating turtle eggs and ground water the ground also guided them. people along the way helped them. Mama and corey got to the school house. someone showed them the wanted poster. they crossed the ohio river there now in a free state. corey is relly scard because he is alone. corey reconneted with dad. dad looks with white on his hair. they got away! corey named his baby sister star. they got mama and went to a boat and went to canada. corey wrote in hs book when they were on the boat to canada because dad wants corey to wrote more to get better. Corey wore his red shrit because he ws free.
Life in America many people helped in the under ground railroad. It really isnt a railroad its a slave hide out. Harriet Tubman. She is well known because she helped others to freedom. She was disconnected with her brothers because she wanted to leave to be free but she keeped going back for other slaves. There was a wanted poster for her.
